How to connect laptop and mobile to internet through wifi ?

Hi guys! Today,  we shall learn about connecting laptop and mobile to internet through Wi-Fi. Everywhere you can see Wi-Fi is in great demand and everyone is using it. When you will purchase an Android phone or you have laptop . Every electronic device like mobile,  tablet, laptop offer Wi-Fi facility.

 At present time, everywhere you can find Wi-Fi connection showing in your mobile or laptop.

 Suppose when you will ask at your office to connect Wi-Fi connection in your laptop or mobile. You are numb at the stage, feeling embarrassing just because you don't know how to connect Wi-Fi to your laptop or mobile.

I am writing this article with the purpose of describing  basic steps for setting up a wireless network and enter into the world of online theme. After reading this post one who don't know how to connect Wi-Fi in his laptop or mobile can easily connect his laptop or mobile with Wi-Fi connection. This is very easiest way of connecting internet to laptop or mobile.

Before coming to main topic we must know about wifi.

What is Wifi ?

Wi-Fi stands for Wireless Fidelity, It is a gift of technology in which we do not need to connect any  cable to our Laptop or mobile.This technology uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections to your laptop and mobile.

It is also essential to know about the basic average range of Wi-Fi network and the factors effecting it's transmission capacity.

Coverage Area of Wi-Fi network

Wi-Fi network allows a device to connect within close vicinity of the WiFi modem. Its coverage area varies significantly from device to device. A wireless network can travel into the range of 46m to 92m (Average Wi-Fi range). However it is also effected by many physical and technical factors.

Factors Effecting Wi-Fi connection

1. Physical Factors

Physical obstructions likes brick walls, air tight door etc. reduce the range of a Wi-Fi network.

2. Technical Factors

The strength of wifi device transmitter also determine the range of Wi-Fi signal. Many other radio signals also effect capacity of a Wi-Fi connection.

Password or Security key

Secured Networking Connection 

People set security key or password in their internet in order to protect their internet data utilization from unauthorized person. Such type of Wi-Fi connection is called secured networking connection.

Open Networking Connction

You can also find such type of Wi-Fi connection which is not protected by security key.  Their Admin do not set any password to their net.  Such type of connection is called Open Networking Connection.

Any person can easily connect their mobile or laptop to the connection without typing any password or security key.
Now many of the industries offer free Wi-Fi to public, where you don't need to write password and can easily access the internet facility without any hindrance.

Connecting Wi-Fi connection to our laptop

Before connecting to internet it is very essential to have Wi-Fi adapter in your computer. Because through this wireless network adapter we'll be able to connects our laptop to network.

Following steps must be follow to connect Wi-Fi connection in laptop.

STEP 1: In laptop you can see networking icon appearing at the bottom in the right hand side. Click that icon.

STEP 2:   After clicking networking icon you can find list of networks, select the network that you want to connect and then click Connect.

STEP3: After clicking "Connect".  It will ask you to enter the network security key (i. e., password).

STEP 4: After typing the correct  password of the network, it start verifying it and get connected to the network.

Enjoy, your laptop is connected to Wi-Fi connection .

A very interesting point

If you keep tick the option "Connect Automatically" then you don't need to always connect that network connection because it will automatically get connected to your laptop.😊

Connecting Wi-Fi connection to our mobile

STEP1: First of all you need to go to the setting icon of your phone and open it. Here you will find the option of Wifi.

STEP2: When you will click the Wi-Fi option you will find  Enable option. So simply enable the Wi-Fi. As you enable the Wi-Fi you will see various Wi-Fi connection appearing on the screen.
As in my picture only one Wi-Fi connection named "virus" appearing.

STEP3: Select the connection that you want to connect.

STEP4: After selecting the connection,  still it won't get to connect in your phone because it is protected through password.

STEP5: Type the password of the connection,  if you know and then click connect.

Now your mobile is connected to internet through Wi-Fi.

Hotspot

If you have internet package in your mobile and accessing internet facility. Still you are unable to use full data package and at the ending of package many of the data gets lapsed in your mobile.  Then you can share your internet data from one mobile to another or from one mobile to laptop. This will be possible by getting your mobile hotspot enable.

How to enable Hotspot in mobile

STEP1: First of all go to setting of your mobile.

STEP2: Click on other wireless connection.

STEP3: Now you will see the option of personal hotspot. Click it.

STEP4: Enable your personal hotspot.

Congratulate now your personal hotspot is enable.

Now your network connection name start appearing in others laptop and mobile. Person can easily use your internet data by connecting through Wi-Fi. If you have set a password in your internet connection then other people need that password in order to get their mobile or laptop connected to yours.
